Dr. Claudia Wong is Senior Lecturer at the Center for Language Education and Academic Director for the Master of Arts in International Language Education (MAILE) program (Teaching English as a Second Language -TESL concentration). She is currently the Postgraduate Coordinator, overseeing both the formal and informal English curriculum at postgraduate level and coordinating LANG5010 (Postgraduate English for Science Studies). She also serves as a member of the Center’s Quality Assurance Committee, Senior Instructor Committee and the Postgraduate Curriculum Committee. Prior to joining HKUST, Dr. Wong taught English for Academic and Specific courses at the University of Hong Kong to undergraduates, postgraduates as well as non-academic staff for many years.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Wong provided academic counseling to students with special learning needs at the Center of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) at the University of Hong Kong. She has been invited to give research seminars and professional development talks at different universities in Hong Kong.
