Currently a Senior Lecturer at the Center for Language Education at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Nora received her PhD and Master in Applied Linguistics at Hong Kong University, and BA with Diploma in Education at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She manages and consults on language for business communications curricula, and teaches on the MBA, research for postgraduates, and undergraduate business courses, and is a journal reviewer. Her areas of research interest include: business communication, case analysis, the flipped classroom approach, discourse analysis, activity theory, second language acquisition, IT in ELT, and teaching and learning. Nora is a highly trained and experienced teacher of students at all levels ranging from  postgraduate and undergraduate to secondary and primary.

Nora is a transformational leader in various institutions with a proven track record in coordination, design, content development, implementation, assessment and evaluation, and teaching of EAP, ESP, ESL and ELT courses. Her experience in supervision, teacher-training, quality assurance and appraisal process is highly valued. She is also committed to enhancing the quality of English education programmes through the use of information technology.

Driven, creative and innovative, Nora thrives on strategic challenges, and enjoys planning and executing ideas, ensuring targeted goals are successfully achieved. Passionate about maintaining a balanced outlook in life, Nora has diverse interests- extreme sports, boating, music, travels, fine dining, and religion.
